Student-Athlete Registration

We have simplified the registration process, and all forms are now signed digitally through Arbiter Registration (we are no longer accepting paper physical packets)! Please be sure to follow these steps to complete your registration and ensure that your student is registered for athletic participation at Shaler Area School District.

1. Parent/Guardian must create an Arbiter Registration account (you only need one account for your whole family)

     a. You may create your account by scanning the QR code below or clicking here.

2. Activate your Arbiter Registration account from the activation link that will be automatically sent to your email (Note: this email may go into your junk folder).

     a.  If you are having trouble creating your account, receiving the activation email, or logging in, you may contact support at registration@arbitersports.com or call us at 800-311-4060.

3. Once you have successfully created your account and are logged in, please click or scan the QR below to complete your registration for each student-athlete in your family:

4.  Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an email notification to let you know we have received your registration. Students MUST be registered and cleared to be eligible for participation in official practices, scrimmages and competitions.

Student-Athlete Registration

Welcome to Arbiter Registration- the new online physical system for Shaler Area School District Athletics (2026-27)! We will no longer be accepting paper physical packets.

• One parent or guardian PER FAMILY must create an account. All students in that family will be added as individual participants on the same family account.

• The “Initial Athletic Registration Form” is for the first sport of participation.

• If you are returning for your second or third sport this school year, please go back to the landing page and choose “Re-certification Form”. You do NOT need to complete the Initial Athletic Registration Form again.

PIAA Participation Requirements (PLEASE READ):

INITIAL EVALUATION (Required before 1st Season of Play within a school year): Prior to any student participating in Practices, Inter-School Practices, Scrimmages, and/or Contests, at any PIAA member school in any school year, the student is required to complete a Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) by doing the following:

1. ACCOUNT LOG-IN/CREATION:

a. REGISTERED BEFORE? – Log in to your Arbiter Registration account if you have registered before (DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT). Remember, it’s one account per family and the parent/guardian must be the owner of the account.

b. NEVER REGISTERED BEFORE? – Create an Arbiter Registration account if you have NEVER registered before. One parent or guardian PER FAMILY must create an Arbiter Registration account. All students in that family will be added as individual participants on the same family account. Students DO NOT create their own accounts.

2. SIGN FORMS: Parent/guardian completes the first five sections of the PIAA CIPPE Form within this online registration plus the additional handbook, UPMC, and other permission forms.

3. DOCTOR’S PHYSICAL: Section 6 physical evaluation (found here) must be filled out by an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME) and uploaded in the appropriate section of this online registration. If you have already uploaded one for this school year, you don’t need to upload it again.

a. This is the only paper form you need to print and upload to this registration. Paper copies are also available in the Shaler Area High School Athletic Office.

b. Links to download a paper copy are located under the “Links” section to the right of the page or click here. Some physicians want to review your medical history in Section 5 before conducting a physical so we included that one to print as well, just in case.

c. You will not be approved to play if you have not submitted a Section 6 doctor’s physical for this school year (dated after May 1 before the start of the current school year).
